Sales Price - Single Family Homes
December year-to-date prices for Dane County homes were lower compared to prices from the same time period in 2008. The YTD median price of $218,000 decreased by 5.2% from the 2008 median price of $229,900. The YTD average price of $245,680 decreased by 8% from the average price of $266,983 in 2008. Inventory, Volume and Listing Success Rate - Single Family Homes
As of December 31st, 6.6 months of inventory remained on the Dane County single family home market. This number is based on the number of active listings and the average monthly sales volume from the preceding 12 months. See our Dane County inventory analysis for more details. Year-to-date sales volume for Dane County homes through the month of December increased by 3.8% from the sales volume levels of 2008, while the number of Dane County expired listings decreased by 25.5%.
